English Language Classes for Adult Learners (ESOL)
This is a program with on-going registration; students can register and start classes every week. Registration starts at 5 p.m. Classes are held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Classes are funded by the State of Florida's Office of Workforce Education and are offered at no cost to the student
Our Adult ESOL program provides support to adult students seeking to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Students have the flexibility to participate in any of the following programs:
1) The Traditional Program is offered throughout Collier County. Bilingual personnel are available to serve our students. We speak English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
2) Enrichment program at PRHS, BCHS, GGHS and LHS offers students an extra hour (5:00 -6:00) in the computer language lab to work on their English skills. A lab attendant is available at each school to assist students.
3) Academic ESOL program enrolls students who have completed the 6 English levels.
4) Distance Learning is a program designed for students who have difficulties attending classes on a regular basis due to lack of childcare, transportation or work schedule conflict. Participating students find it a convenient way to further their education in the privacy of their own home.
